Cousin Bonding

Wednesday night Kaitlyn (who will be attempting to change her name to Katie) and I joined my co-worker (friend) Tyler to go see Dave Matthews Band at the Tweeter Center (now Susquehannah Center for the Arts). A bonding event I had actually bought tickets for about 6-7 years ago, but mama Rockey didn't want young impressionable Katie (see, see) being influenced by her older cousin. (As a side note, I dont think Barb had gotten over me getting in a car accident when I drove Katie from SML to NJ - still not my fault).

Equipt with some Hoagies, umbrellas, and panchos we set out for our long-awaited DMB experience. We happened to park just a few rows from my friend Megan (from VA) who stalks Dave every summer. So we hung out in our Panchos, with my crazy friends from VA and poor Tyler. Since it was raining, Megan and I were hoping for a little JTR action John The Revelator, a rain song, and so we were harrassing the kids (And I mean kids) in the parking lot, and NONE of them knew JTR. Ametuers.

The world as we know it is infact over...Amoung the tailgators in the parking lot, I think our "group" was the oldest. There were highschool kids (class of '08) across the parking lot from us drinking. And we actually carded a kid who asked us for a beer who was 15. Seriously? What is the world coming too?

The show was awesome. I managed to find a scalper who sold me a ticket for Kait at cost INSIDE the pavilion. She was on the other side, but there were open seats, so I retrieved her, knowing mama hen would kill me if anything happened to her youngest.

Dave played Melissa by The Allman Brothers. Which we all know was a tribute to me, because the song is really Lyssa...However, Gregg Allman had a stutter...So proof positive Dave loves Lyssa.
